Architect/Engineer Mario Serini

Born in Milan in 1964, with a degree in Architecture obtained at the Politecnico of Milan and qualified therein, listed in the Register of Architects of Milan under the number 7868, with a second specialist degree in Building Engineering at the University of Pavia and qualified therein as Civil Engineer, and listed in the Register of Engineers of Milan under the number A30923, he is also qualified as Safety Manager and Energy Certifier. Mario V. Serini has matured remarkable experience in the renovations of existing architectural historical heritage, with an eye for detail when it comes to building sites always integrating specialist components to architectural design. Over the years he has successfully led almost 200 design projects – from 2006 featuring Serini Associati Arch-Ing – some of which led to the collaboration with other larger groups. For a decade Mario was shareholder and board member of the engineering company Progredire S.r.l. very active in Milan in the public works field, HVAC/MEP and structural design, construction site safety management and verification of projects, making a personal contribution especially in the field of architectural and structural projects as well as safety management. He has been president for the Commission for urban landscape of the municipality of Rho as well as the municipality of Pregnana Milanese and before of the municipality of Pero. He has been member of the Committee for training of Register of Architects of Milan. He collaborated with the Urban Planning laboratory in the Civil Engineering and Architecture department of the University of Pavia on these matters: urban planning; relationship between building design and relational systems of public space; methodology and path-dependent processes of integrated environmental and landscape assessment.
